Also, I've heard the word unhinged, which means something similar to crazy. It reminds me in Spanish we say that someone who's crazy lacks a bolt (screw) maybe it's a screw in a hinge.

ALL Republicans ARE NOT behind Trump and his politics. Look here, conservatives need a voice in this country like anyone else but NOT one that wants to tear down the whole place and rebuild it as some sort of a nationalist autocracy with Christian evangelism forcing government policy. Conservative autocracies have NEVER worked well and one forced upon a modern America is guaranteed to destroy far more than it will build. If one has possession of a decent amount of insight, foresight and hindsight then that much is friggin' obvious.

This current incarnation of the GOP is a cancer to ALL 330+ million of us. Thankfully most people know that's the truth. Many Americans voted for Trump because they wanted to see some change and that's fair...but the direction this incarnation of the GOP wants to take is encompassing far too much of the wrong kind of change. Americans who respect our democratic style of government are fully aware of that and many of them are conservative citizens who don't agree with the path this Trumpdrunk GOP is taking.

Don't lump all Republicans in with the ongoing Trump malignancy. It's not accurate. You need to be aware that it was with the help of Republican voters that Democrats won the right to govern in 2020. You can be guaranteed that not all who opted to give Trump a shot in 2016 were happy with what they got. Many of them recognized the problems he was causing and realized it was best for the country if wasn't given a 2nd term. The problem isn't Republicans in general...the problem is those Republicans who still blindly insist that Trump-style politics and the death of American democracy is the only route America should take.
